About ANFA

Founded in 2000, Asia Nonwoven Fabrics Association (ANFA) is the only international trade association, which represents the nonwovens industry in Asia. At present, ANFA has more than 300 member companies, representing the primary companies of Asian nonwovens industry from Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, other countries and areas.
Since the establishment, ANFA has made a great contribution to the sound growth of the nonwovens industry all over the Asia region. Besides, representing Asia, ANFA keeps a close linkage with INDA in North America and EDANA in Europe. With the ongoing globalization, Asian regions are the center of worldwide attention in the point of view of the highest increase in production volume of nonwovens and the market extending. The production volume has already gone beyond the scale comparable with North America and Europe, and share about 50% in the world.
After a successful first ANEX (Asia Nonwovens Exhibition & Conference) was held in Osaka in May in 2000, after that ANEX-2003, -2006, -2012, -2015, -2018 and 2021 were successfully held in Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Tokyo and Shanghai every three years. This global event is held annually rotating with North America (IDEA by INDA), Europe (INDEX by EDANA) and Asia. ANFA hosts this event in a joint promotional drive with INDA and EDANA. Next ANEX-2024 will be held May 22-24 in Taiwan.
On the other hand, ANF Nonwovens Conference 2014 and 2016 was successfully held respectively on Nov. 25 to 27 in Osaka, Japan, on Nov. 27 to 30 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and on Nov. 7 to 8 at New Delhi in India. Next conference will be held in Hong Kong in 2022 or 2023.
In addition, many seminars, conferences or events are continuously held by each regional ANFA related association or liaison office.
